According to World
Health Organization (WHO), Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious
disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Coronavirus typically affects
the respiratory of the people who are affected. It is a kind of disease that
spread easily everywhere. It was first recorded in Wuhan, China last December
2019.
As of today, the
covid-19 has already become a global pandemic. Everyone can be a carrier of the
covid-19 even if you are young or old. It is spread from person to person. The numbers
of people who are affected by the said virus increases all the time. As the
number of affected increases, it also increases the number of people who died. We
have now reached the tragic event that cause deaths millions of people,
families are suffering because of sudden losses, and economy decreases.
Of course, this disease
is very dangerous to us. One way to protect yourself and slow down the
transmission is to know the symptoms of it and stay away to the people who are
experiencing to the said symptoms. COVID-19 symptoms includes cough, fever or
chills, difficulty breathing, body aches, sore throat, diarrhea, headache,
fatigue, vomiting and runny nose. COVID-19 can be severe and can even cause
death. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to
moderate respiratory problems. People who already have some other health
problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
There are many vaccines
developed by several companies around the world but the problem is the supply
is not yet enough. To avoid getting infected, you must be aware of what to do.
Wash your hands with soap or use an
alcohol
Frequently and thoroughly wash your hands with soap and
water or clean it with an alcohol. Doing this eliminates germs including
viruses that may be on your hands. It is much better if you will avoid touching
your eyes, nose and mouth. Our hands touches everywhere and you don’t know if
it may carries viruses than can enter your body and infect you.
Wear Mask
It is not safe anymore to go outside when you are not
wearing protective equipment like mask. It is now normal to us when we are
around people. The use of mask is one of the prevention measures to limit
spread of certain respiratory diseases like coronavirus. When you are about to
cough, follow the proper procedure. Do it with bent elbow or tissue.
Physical Distancing
It is not about we are afraid to be with other people. Instead,
it is about protecting each one of us. Maintaining physical distancing from
other people helps to reduce the risk of infection when someone cough, sneeze
and speak. The farther you are the better, to keeps coronavirus away.
