Awareness to Avoid the Infection of COVID-19

According to World Health Organization (WHO), Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Coronavirus typically affects the respiratory of the people who are affected. It is a kind of disease that spread easily everywhere. It was first recorded in Wuhan, China last December 2019.

As of today, the covid-19 has already become a global pandemic. Everyone can be a carrier of the covid-19 even if you are young or old. It is spread from person to person. The numbers of people who are affected by the said virus increases all the time. As the number of affected increases, it also increases the number of people who died. We have now reached the tragic event that cause deaths millions of people, families are suffering because of sudden losses, and economy decreases.

Of course, this disease is very dangerous to us. One way to protect yourself and slow down the transmission is to know the symptoms of it and stay away to the people who are experiencing to the said symptoms. COVID-19 symptoms includes cough, fever or chills, difficulty breathing, body aches, sore throat, diarrhea, headache, fatigue, vomiting and runny nose. COVID-19 can be severe and can even cause death. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory problems. People who already have some other health problems are more likely to develop serious illness.

There are many vaccines developed by several companies around the world but the problem is the supply is not yet enough. To avoid getting infected, you must be aware of what to do.

Wash your hands with soap or use an alcohol



            Frequently and thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water or clean it with an alcohol. Doing this eliminates germs including viruses that may be on your hands. It is much better if you will avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Our hands touches everywhere and you don’t know if it may carries viruses than can enter your body and infect you.

Wear Mask


         It is not safe anymore to go outside when you are not wearing protective equipment like mask. It is now normal to us when we are around people. The use of mask is one of the prevention measures to limit spread of certain respiratory diseases like coronavirus. When you are about to cough, follow the proper procedure. Do it with bent elbow or tissue.


Physical Distancing

            It is not about we are afraid to be with other people. Instead, it is about protecting each one of us. Maintaining physical distancing from other people helps to reduce the risk of infection when someone cough, sneeze and speak. The farther you are the better, to keeps coronavirus away.
